Lynn Shannon, B.Ed., Dip.Sp.Ed, DASSM, PMP, PMI-PBA, has served on the PMI Board of Directors since 2023, including as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. She is a long-time PMI volunteer and past president of the PMI Chapter in Toronto, Canada, and Region Three Mentor. Shannon is a dedicated professional leader with extensive management experience leading media and digital transformation programs for large Canadian companies, including Thomson Reuters, Torstar, Rogers Communication and Sun Life Financial. She is a popular instructor on various project management topics at the University of Toronto, Canada, and she is a regular speaker at events and conferences around the world. She was awarded the Colin J. Morris Distinguished Contribution Award for PMI service from the PMI Toronto Chapter in 2020 and has received several Ted Rogers Innovation Awards. Shannon holds a bachelor’s degree in Education and a Diploma Special Education and Educational Media, both from McGill University, Canada.

Gord Cebryk, P.Eng. is the General Manager of Infrastructure Services with Sturgeon County, bringing more than 30 years of experience leading complex infrastructure, renewal, and transformation programs in the public sector. His career with the City of Edmonton spanned over three Decades, beginning as a surveyor and culminating as Deputy City Manager, City Operations, where he led more than 5,000 employees delivering transit, waste management, facilities, mobility, and parks services. Gord has overseen numerous large-scale, multi-stakeholder initiatives, including the Regional ARC Electronic Fare Payment System, Safe Mobility/Vision Zero Program, LED Street Light Conversion, Electric Bus Conversion Project, and the development of a comprehensive Neighbourhood Renewal Program. His work also included advancing asset management life-cycle models to support long-term investment planning, risk-based decision-making, and sustainable service delivery across diverse municipal asset portfolios. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered with APEGA. Gord’s project management perspective is shaped by practical lessons learned from delivering programs in politically and Operationally complex environments, emphasizing strong governance, benefits realization, change management, and alignment between strategy and execution. He has also completed the Indigenous Canada Certificate and Black Lives Matter Certificate, reflecting his commitment to inclusive and community-focused leadership.
Vahid Ayan, P.Eng., MBA, PhD | Director of Planning and Engineering at the Town of Redcliff.
Vahid Ayan is a professional engineer and project management specialist with over 20 years of experience leading infrastructure and capital delivery initiatives in both public and private sectors. As Director of Planning and Engineering at the Town of Redcliff, he oversees municipal planning, land development, capital projects, and economic development, advancing strategic growth and sustainable infrastructure for the community. Previously, Vahid managed major transit and infrastructure programs for the City of Edmonton, including LRT renewal, underground pedway, and multimodal connectivity projects. His leadership integrates technical aspects, stakeholder collaboration, and strategic procurement to optimize value, risk, and sustainability outcomes. Vahid is passionate about fostering innovation, sustainability, and accountability in public project management and building partnerships that enhance community resilience and long-term value.
