Sustainable “Green” Buildings in Alberta

Sustainable “Green” Buildings in Alberta

With buildings accounting for a significant share of energy use and emissions-especially in cold climates- this session explores how high-performance design is shaping Alberta’s low-carbon future. Topics include advanced insulation and airtight envelopes, high-efficiency heating systems, renewable energy integration, low-carbon materials, and net-zero projects. We’ll also examine practical challenges such as upfront costs and retrofit complexity, alongside long-term benefits like lower life-cycle costs and improved asset value.

Speaker: Dr. Adedamola (Ade) Oladeinde, P.Eng

A professional engineer and strategic management expert, Dr. Oladeinde brings senior leadership experience across oil & gas, mining, nuclear, IT, and manufacturing, with past roles at Saudi Aramco, Chevron Canada, Rio Tinto, and more. He is also an active PMI volunteer and global contributor.
