The State of Hiring -- Project Management Opportunities in Edmonton
So you applied to a job and heard nothing in return… you interviewed and received generic feedback on why you didn’t get the job… you aren’t sure which direction you should take your career in order to set you up for future success. It’s a familiar story! As IT recruiters, we have unique insight into the hiring process from beginning to end. From the initial application, to the interviews and offer stage, we have guided countless individuals through their careers towards their desired goals. In this session we will address current trends in the Edmonton IT market, explore the difference between contract and permanent Project Management roles, how to apply and interview effectively, and the role that recruiters play in aiding your job search.
Speakers:
Hannah Kuspira a Senior Recruiter with Robert Half Technology in Edmonton and has a background in Psychology and Organizational Wellness. She works diligently to place highly qualified candidates with exciting technology clients in the city and surrounding area. Hannah has successfully placed 35 IT candidates within the last 7 months including 3 Project Managers on long term and large scale projects. She has proven experience providing high quality customer service and values the opportunity to help guide people's careers in their desired directions. With an astute focus on truly knowing the background and interests of IT professionals throughout the city, she has excellent insight into the industry.
Chantel Lillycrop is the Division Director of Permanent Placement Services at Robert Half Technology in Edmonton. Her educational background was focused on Psychology and Political Science, and Professional experience has been focused on Business Development and Strategic Account Management, which has provided her with an excellent insight into various industries and companies within Edmonton. At Robert Half Technology, Chantel provides market expertise to both candidates and clients in the technology space. By working diligently with her clients she is able to provide her candidates with information on upcoming hiring trends and desired skillsets, and by building long-lasting relationships with her candidates she is able to provide companies with information on skilled talent availability. With having staffed over 40 permanent positions in the past two years, Chantel has proven to be successful in helping her clients attract top IT talent, and helping her candidates find the next step in their career.
