We welcome our members and community to our 2021 Annual Open House on February 18th. For the past few years, the Open House has been a great success. We have gotten great responses and feedback from our members, the project management community, and our partners.
This year, with the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic, we will be hosting the open house virtually. However, same as previous years, we received great support from our partners and sponsors. In addition to our chapter program introductions, many chapter partners will also be joining us with a virtual booth (breakout sessions). It is a great platform for students, young professionals, academia, and experienced professionals to network and build new connections and bridges to advance their careers. Come to chat with your chapter board members and volunteers, and representatives from our partners and sponsors!
We will also have a great presentation on self-marketing by Sehrish Pervez and Ehtisham Anwer.

Self-Marketing combines Career Coaching best practices with proven Marketing strategies into a powerful framework for rapid job search and career development. The session introduces project managers to SMarTS Self-Marketing methodology and covers Networking strategies that are key for effective Self-Marketing. The session is filled with practical tips to assist participants to win jobs and ensure career growth quickly in an ever-changing job market.

Facilitators’ Profiles
Sehrish Pervez is a seasoned Career Counselor, with expertise in full cycle recruitment and employment/ career development. She has worked in key roles with reputable organizations such as Manpower Group and Bredin Center for Learning. Sehrish has a Bachelor’s degree in Art from University of Alberta. She is currently self-employed as a Career and Employment Development consultant in Kamloops BC.
Ehtisham Anwer is a B2B (business-to-business) Marketing and Branding expert. Ehtisham has over 18 years of experience in senior management positions at several leading global organizations. Ehtisham has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Science in Management, and an MBA. Ehtisham is also a seasoned project manager and holds coveted 6 Sigma black belt certification. He is currently working as a General Manager for Cummins Inc., leading operations in interior and northern BC. He is also a sessional faculty at Thompson Rivers University’s School of Business and Economics in Marketing and International Business department.
Both Sehrish and Ehtisham have successfully helped hundreds of professionals find jobs and grow careers using Self-Marketing framework and strategies.

This year, we made the open house free to everyone, regardless if you are a chapter member or not.
