Bilal AbuKhodair


Bilal Abukhodair has been working as a Project Manager (large projects) at Wajax Power Systems for the past five years. He is essentially responsible for executing large, complex, turnkey, and high risk power generation projects. Additionally, he is also responsible for managing capital projects, from conception through closure, to managing relationships with the customers, as well as ensuring these projects provide the optimal business and technical solution.

Bilal’s previous experience includes eight years of operation in British Columbia, Canada, as well as thirteen years in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He worked on various positions in operation, sales, engineering, and project management in the public and oil and Gas Sector.

Bilal is a graduate of Minnesota State University at Mankato, Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in ‘Electrical Engineering’ and has received the PMP Certification since 2010.

Bilal is currently serving his second term as VP volunteers at the PMI Northern Alberta Chapter. In addition to his many involvements with volunteering; he had actively volunteered with multiple non-profit organizations such as the Moroccan Society in Alberta during the Servus Heritage Festival, alongside the JDRF Telus walk to Cure Diabetes.

Outside of volunteering, Bilal is frequently busy with his small family of six kids alongside their activities and enjoys watching their soccer games during the weekday.
