Mike is a Technology Development Advisor with Alberta Innovates, the Province's
Innovation agency. His duties include working with Small and Medium size
enterprises as a coach and connector to the Innovation Ecosystem in Alberta in
the areas of business, product development and commercialization.
He started his career as a mechanical engineer and has technology development
and commercialization experience in several industries in Canada and the U.S, and
has worked in start-up companies as well Fortune 500 companies. 
Following his interest in business, he obtained an MBA and has been working
closely with entrepreneurs and small entities on technology development,
marketing, and business plans and strategies. Through this work, Mike
understands the challenges these organizations face developing products from
inception to market entry.

Mike’s experience in areas such as start-up, financing, business strategy,
intellectual property, business development and team development enables him
to assist Alberta companies during their journey. He believes SMEs are key for
Alberta’s continued growth and diversification, and he enjoys the opportunity to
work with these organizations to assist in their success.
