Synopsis:
Join our Past Chapter President, Bakhtawar Pastakia as she facilitates a conversation with our guest speaker Gagandeep Issar. Gagandeep will share his views on the impact of the pandemic on major projects in Alberta and how we can prepare ourselves to respond to such crises in the future.
Bakhtawar Pastakia, is the Founding Principal of Project Management Integrated, and serves Edmontonians as the Strategic Project Manager, Smart Transportation, at the City of Edmonton. When not working and tending to business, Bakhtawar volunteers her time and skills to make a real impact. She has served on 3 boards, both local and international. In her role as President of PMINAC in 2018-19 she implemented 15 new initiatives in a short span of 12 months. Her strategic leadership steered the Chapter to be recognized as Chapter of the Year Finalist in October 2019, another first in the 38 years history of the chapter. Bakhtawar’s qualifications include – MBA, PMP®, Certified Scrum Master, Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Certified Master Instructor and a graduate from PMI’s 2019 Leadership Institute Master Class.
Gagandeep Issar’s interest lies in improving the productivity and competitiveness of major projects. He has held positions of increasing responsibilities with various companies including Indian Oil Corp. Ltd., Syncrude Canada, Shell Canada, Nova Chemicals, Howe Sound Pulp and Paper, Enerflex and Gibson Energy. He earned his MBA from Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, Advanced Project Management from Stanford University and is a registered P.Eng. in AB, Canada.
