Lillah Penddah; Certified Life & Health Coach, Founder and Creator of Black Facts – A Black History Game, Member of Toastmasters
As a certified life and health coach, I am committed to changing the world in the ways that I know how. I assist my clients with overcoming their perceived challenges and blocks that are holding them back from being able to take the steps necessary to achieve their goals. With my help my clients are able to take those steps with a renewed intentionality, energy and focus so that they can show up for themselves in a way that they never have before. We discover the why behind their why so that they can tap into their personal power and find meaning and purpose in their lives which in turn creates long lasting habit change that becomes an unconscious way of life.
As the found and creator of BLACK FACTS, a game based on Black History and pop culture, I saw that there was a lack of Black History education in schools and felt that this was a need I could fill. Over a 10-year period I worked to create a game that could be used as an alternative to traditional teaching methods to educate the masses on the strength, history, culture and contributions of Black people. At the same time, I wanted to also create a safe space for people to learn about something that they may not know a lot about while also facilitating conversations about race, systemic racism, and our own unconscious biases because Black History is our history. I now host the game for various groups including corporations and educational institutions.
As an avid public speaker and a member of toastmasters, I find reward in being able to share what I have learned from my own life experiences and in my coaching career with others to inspire and champion change. I love diving into the self and helping people create an awareness that they did not previously have. Whether it be to motivate or to educate, my true joy comes from connecting with and others through coaching, mentorship, and shared layered conversation that allows people to observe the evidence of their commonalities.
