(Sold Out) Lean Six Sigma - Yellow Belt Workshop
Huzefa is a Director in the department of Environment and Parks with the Government of Alberta. In this role, he has responsibilities for enabling continuous improvement and business excellence by leading and managing strategic transformation projects.
As a lean Six Sigma Black Belt, he has developed and deployed Lean and continuous improvement strategies to achieve significant results for both internal and external business clients. He was recently responsible for driving the cutting of application file backlogs across multiple legislations by applying lean process improvement principles to regulatory approvals, coupled with strong governance and enhanced tracking and reporting systems. This project realized backlog reductions of 80% in just over four months. His team has also developed White Belt (online) and Yellow Belt training and delivered many sessions to help foster a culture of process excellence in the Government of Alberta. In previous roles, Huzefa has been responsible for delivery of large digital transformation projects. Huzefa also has considerable entrepreneurial experience, having co-founded a start-up organization focused on the telecommunications industry, where he managed project and service delivery and built technical teams.
Huzefa combines business acumen with in-depth technical knowledge to help focus on the big picture, understand client requirements and drive business value in all aspects of his organizational engagements.
Huzefa holds Engineering and MBA degrees and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He resides in Edmonton with his wife Kubra and their two children. Outside work, Huzefa loves to read and is an avid hiker, finding peace in the tranquility of the mountains.
